Sen̓áḵw: A New Urban Rental Community in Vancouver from Nch’ḵay̓ and the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw
We at Free Agency Creative are honoured to be working on Sen̓áḵw, one of the most significant development projects in the world—an Indigenous-led community that stands as a powerful example of cultural reclamation and forward-thinking urban design. Located at the foot of the Burrard Street Bridge, this highly sustainable, mixed-use urban village will feature over 6,000 purpose-built rental homes and 1,200 affordable units, all within one of Vancouver’s most unparalleled locations.
For the better part of a year, our team has been working closely with the Nch’ḵay̓ Development Corporation and members of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) to develop the brand voice, strategy, and a robust design platform for Sen̓áḵw. It has been both an honour and a privilege to learn about their culture and beliefs as we help them tell the story of this land—a story of past, present, and future.
Stay tuned as the Sen̓áḵw brand begins to roll out this fall and into the new year.
