Los Angeles is a culturally rich city with creativity in its DNA. Each neighbourhood has its own distinct history and character—creating both challenges and opportunities for developers in the market. Free Agency Creative is excited to be working on new projects in LA—taking the opportunity to find the nuance in each story and learn more about what makes the Urban Experience in this city so unique.

ZAG Echo Park, located at 1750 Glendale Boulevard, is a collection of rental homes by Aragon Properties located just north of downtown. The project offers a new kind of livability—with shorter commutes to the city centre and spaces that accommodate an increasingly mobile workforce. With this project already underway, FAC will be starting the positioning, branding and marketing for several other sites for Aragon in Echo Park.

We’ve also recently partnered with Vancouver-based Townline Developments on their entry into the LA market. A residential tower with ground-floor retail at 550 Shatto Place in Koreatown takes its cues from the Art Deco history of the area and the Spanish Colonial heritage building on the site. Designed by Gensler Architects, the project aspires to create an authentic vertical community with a unique sense of place.

A common thread through these projects is the thoughtful approach to purpose-built rental experiences. This category of housing is increasingly relevant for the growing creative class in all major markets across North America—and we’re eager to continue honing our expertise in this development niche.
