Brewer’s Row near Rocky Point Park is the epicenter of craft brewing in Port Moody—and standing out in this competitive atmosphere is a must. FAC had the privilege of working with Moody Ales to establish a distinctive brand and naming platform for their core line of beers.

The concept for the brand was to pair each core beer with a spectrum of moods and emotions, with names like “Affable IPA,” and “Chipper Blonde Ale.” We then created a series of illustrations to visually represent each characteristic—and blend them seamlessly with the design and typography of the brand. It was key that the Moody Ales website showcase their year-round and seasonal beers, and the design needed to be bold, yet simple enough for staff to easily update with daily rotating taps and growler fills. The FAC team also collaborated on the interior design and graphics for the tasting room, with the goal to celebrate the industrial character of the space. An illustrated mural was created to bring a strong brand presence while offering a brief summary of the process of craft brewing.
